Internally, the razor programs hold time values as integers, and this is often reflected in how they appear in the History and Info files.1 In order to make the parsing and manipulation of these files by shell scripts easier, we have provided a few convenience functions.
Options supplied to `razor' | Results |
---|---|
rz_time | Outputs the integer value for the current time. |
rz_time <string> | Outputs the integer value for the time <string>, which must be formatted yyyy/mm/dd,HH:MM:SS as in 1998/07/25,15:05:30. (Note that there are no spaces within the date string.) |
rz_fmt_time <val> <fmt> | Given an integer time <val>, the program will output it as a human readable format specified by the <fmt>. Please refer to the man pages for ctime() for details about the <fmt>.1 |
rz_time_val <string> <fmt> | This is the inverse of the command above. The program will interpret the <string> according to the <fmt>, and output the integer time value. |
